Is there a home theater system in the vicinity of like $200 that will allow a TV, and PS3 hookup?

Question by Craig Rosenoch: Is there a home theater system in the vicinity of like 0 that will allow a TV, and PS3 hookup?
I have a TV, and a PS3, and was wondering if there was a home theater system that didn’t cost like 0 for normal 5.1 Surround.

I actually would like to specify, I much prefer HDMI over anything else, so try to focus on that as the primary need.

Question by niv452001: is there a way to connect a VGA monitor to a home theater system?
i have a home theater sound system in my room but no tv. I have 19in monitor for my laptop (got for free, reason for not having a TV). Is there a cord to connect it to the system?

The VGA connector is quite a bit different from most TV connectors, but you might be able to find a conversion gadget that will change, say, RGB output from your home theater system to VGA. It really depends on what’s coming out of the home theater system. In any case, it wouldn’t be just a cord, it would be a box and two cords, unless by chance your home theater system has an actual VGA socket somewhere.

The only way to be sure you will like them is to listen to them. If you have a friend with a system you like, then go with that. Or go to an audio / video store and listen to what they have and decide.

If you go to a high end-audio store and listen to their demos in a specially constructed sound room you will learn what really good audio sounds like and you will want that… but the prices will be astronomical (but it’s still fun to do). And if you wind up buying at a Box Store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) make sure they will give you your money back if you don’t like the sound quality when you get home and set it up.

Q&A: Is there any way to convert a 5:1 surround sound system to plug into an earphone slot?

Question by Swa Sdada: Is there any way to convert a 5:1 surround sound system to plug into an earphone slot?
I have recently brought a 5:1 surround sound speakers system but have found that I need a sound card for my PC and cannot plug it directly into my ipod or laptop. Is there any way to convert the 5outputs into a simple earphone jack?

If so where would I get one? Thank you

Answer by Jasper
if you are trying to take the output from your computer and put it into the 5.1 home theater it shouldnt be a problem. you will only get two channels of audio but your 5.1 system should be able to sepearate the audio out to all of the speakers. you will need to get a 1/8 inch to RCA audio adaptor.
the earphone jack on your computer is just a powered out jack. so there is no problem with using this to plug into your stereo.

Is there any way to connect my Ipod 60gb to a home theater system to get digital sound vs ananlog?

Question by Andrew B: Is there any way to connect my Ipod 60gb to a home theater system to get digital sound vs ananlog?
I have the analog (red/white) cables, but the sound quality is not very good. I have also tried the fm transmitter and this is also lacking in sound quality. Thanks!!

You can get a headphone jack to RCA cable adaptor at Radio Shack. Otherwise you can get an Ipod cradle with the ipod connector built in, so that you can plug your ipod in it, and then there will be RCA connections in the back.

I prefer the later, because the ipod cradle will keep your ipod powered and not drain the battery.

Is there a home theater speaker system that sounds just as amazing as Bose but at a cheaper price?

Posted in General with tags , , , , , , , , , , on August 3, 2010 by unlimitedtechsupport

Question by Andrew B: Is there a home theater speaker system that sounds just as amazing as Bose but at a cheaper price?
I have always wanted a Bose anything because I love the quality and sound from everything they have done. I know they can be a bit spendy. If there are some home theater speakers from other well known and reliable brands that work just as well I am definitely all ears. I am just in the market of buying a really great speaker system!
