Have an older tv with only a cable connector. Is there a converter out there to convert this to RCA os S-video or SOMETHING?

  1. Connect a DVD or VCR to your TV and run the AUDIO OUT from either to your home theater. The TV will show the picture and the home theater will take care of the sound.

  2. ACEREPAIRCENTER.com Says:

as ART stated, you must have an audio output source to connect to the theater reciever, such as a satellite, vcr, dvd, ect. a tv with coax only input will not connect to a home theater. if you want home theater sound, the easiest way i can think of is to use a Hi-Fi vcr and leave your tv on channel 4 and change channels on the vcr, having run red/white audio cables to your reciever. if you have a satellite reciever the same would apply, except you would use the satellite instead of the vcr.
