The whole entire system has to be wireless and it can listen to the radio and it also can connect to the computer. The radio and computer compatipility is optional.

Costco & Best Buy carry this nice Panasonic DVD Home Theater system with wireless rear speakers.
The front speakers are wired though and should not be an issue…

Hi ,
I have recently bought a Philips HTS 3105 Home theater system which works great.But I am unable to find an FM antenna with the correct ‘connector’ for my system.It’s outer dia is same as that of the normal TV coaxial RF connector , and the center pin has a hole in it.
Sorry for being crude, but i don’t know what is the connector’s name …
Pls. help.

It’s called a push-on “F” connector.
However, unless you are connecting it to your cable system, all you need is a single strand of wire that you can shove into the center hole. The best is a 24 guage or thinner wire, about 3 feet long, with a loose knot in it that forms a crude loop.
I’ve even put a twist-tie in there and it worked as an FM antenna.
If you are going to connect it to a coaxial cable, you will need an adapter. Normally, these come with the system, but if not, it’s a Radio Shack item.

You can use them for Mp3’s and Divx movies, viewing your digital photos, on your TV, Etc….

I have a RCA HTS 2600 Home Theater system its a dvd/vcr radio recivers with 5 speakers with a sub., one of those in a box ones. It is a hand me down one from my gf’s father. It has picture but no sound and its well past its warranty time and i had opened it up and i found to resistors that had fried to the point that i cant tell the size of them. I was wondering if anyone knows of a place where i can get a schematic diagram of it so i can figure out the size of the resistors? Or if anyone knows a just a quick fix of just get bigger resistors and put those in to be safe?

You won’t find a schematic, but more than likely will need to do some reverse engineering. If you see similar circuitry (meaning exactly) you can interpolate the value. i.e amp sections look the same.
I have found that this process is time consuming, and not worth it. If a resistor is blown (are you sure it isn’t a cap or diode, these are more likely to blow open) you more than likely have other damage and are unable to test for this. Blown components usually signal some issue further down the chain.
Save time and effort, get a new system.

It will be impossible to find a “quality” home theater setup for less than 200 dollars. That being said, you can get a sub-par setup for less than 200, and i would say that a bad system is better than no system.

I got mine for 0 dollars on amazon. It’s a 7.1 channel, and it supports the new high definition audio formats.
